Liquid manure hoses

Slurry hose system in the Netherlands: tractor with hose reels and precision distributor

Liquid manure hosing is the name of a process in which the liquid manure is continuously pumped from the edge of the field to a distributor using a hose.

Liquid manure hoses are an alternative to standard application using a liquid manure tank .

For the hose connection, a hose several hundred meters long is laid on the field from the feeder vehicle. A tractor with an attached slurry spreader now drags the slurry hose in a zigzag over the field and injects the slurry into the ground. As a result, no tank is transported over the compaction-sensitive field. In the case of contiguous, rounded areas, high area performance is possible through continuous work. The process is less suitable for smaller areas, as the hose must be emptied again after work and rolled up for transport. There are great advantages when the manure is pumped directly from the manure cellar to the neighboring field.
