Crawled
Creeping is rock rubble that slowly moves downhill as a result of gravity. The corresponding process is one of the erosive processes and is called slope crawling . The phenomenon mostly occurs in clayey, well-moistened rocks with a steep slope . If the plant cover tears off in extreme conditions, earth slips develop .
Normally these movement processes take place under the protective vegetation cover, which is why the name subsilvine earth flow was coined. The material is moved up to a few dm / a.
Sequelae
The slow processes can be traced on the basis of two observations:
- Hooking the hook: the upcoming areas of layers are dragged down the valley
- Sickle growth (saber growth) : Trees strive to grow vertically. If the root area slips with the creep (a process that takes years), the tree continues to try to maintain the vertical. The result is a trunk that curves against the slope.
