Chess mill

A Gemachmühle (dialect. Gmachmühle, Gmachlmühle; from "Gemach": order, law, agreement, agreement; compare: "Gemächtnis") is a house or private mill .

Individual farmers could be freed from the mill pressure and obtain the right to operate a mill alone or together with several other farmers to meet their own needs. (Opposite: toll mill ).

The interpretation that the Gemachmühle is a small mill with the mill equipment in a single room (Gemach) is wrong.
