General drainage plan

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A general drainage plan (GEP) represents the wastewater concept for a catchment area and serves as a framework for detailed projects. Usually a GEP is created for a municipality or a special purpose association ; there is no binding definition.

A GEP has u. a. the following tasks:

  • Evidence that the wastewater disposal complies with legal requirements, such as environmental regulations
  • Rehabilitation concept for the existing sewage system
  • Effects of an additional new building / commercial area
  • Planning basis for future expansion

To create a GEP, you need the data of the existing sewer network . On this basis, the GEP is derived using calculation and simulation methods (dirt load calculation, time coefficient method, etc.).
