Genre (textile industry)
The clothing industry uses genre to denote the quality level of a clothing company . The allocation of clothing products from a manufacturer according to the totality of the various quality features such as quality of the fabrics, equipment and expense of interior processing , fit, fashionable topicality, precision of processing and also the number and size range is divided into five genres - "stacking genre" or "consumer genre" , "Medium genre", "upper medium genre", "high genre" (also called "model genre") and designer genre - the stack genre being the lowest in quality.
Stack genre or consumer genre , usually also called lower genre , describes a company in which large numbers of items are produced. In the stacking genre, both the fabric quality and the processing of the clothing are adapted to the price range. Fit is less important in the stacking genre.
The designer genre, on the other hand, is characterized by proper name labels, small quantities, exclusive materials and typical to avant-garde design.
