Geometric pore size

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The geometric pore size is a value calculated on the basis of characteristic tissue parameters such as type of weave, wire diameter and mesh count. It describes the diameter of the largest, spherical ball that the tissue can just pass through. The underlying calculation equations were developed and experimentally validated at the IMVT of the University of Stuttgart as part of the AVIF projects A224 and A251.
