Gerd-Christian Wagner

Gerd-Christian Wagner (born November 12, 1964 in Varel ) is a German politician (since 1986: SPD ). He has been the mayor of his hometown since November 1, 2006.

Life

Gerd-Christian Wagner graduated from the Lothar-Meyer-Gymnasium in Varel. He then completed an apprenticeship as an administrative clerk at the city of Varel and the preparatory service for the upscale general administrative service with a degree in administrative management (FH). He later worked as an administrative officer at the city of Varel, at the Federal Office for the Recognition of Foreign Refugees and at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg . In 2001 he completed a degree in business administration with a degree in business administration.

From 2002 to 2006 Wagner was First City Councilor, and since November 1, 2006 he has been the full-time mayor of the city of Varel. He was re-elected for another seven years in 2014.
