Geruntius
According to legendary tradition, Geruntius (also: Gerontius ) († around 100 in Italica ) was the first bishop of Italica in what is now Spain.
Geruntius is said to have been a student of the apostles and missionary on the Iberian Peninsula. The Martyrologium Romanum reports that he was martyred in Italica. The saint's feast day is August 25th .
