The law to combat venereal diseases of 1927 was a law of the German Reich. The law in force until 1953 was intended to combat syphilis , gonorrhea and chancre (ulcus molle) .
The forerunner of the law was the ordinance to combat venereal diseases of December 11, 1918 (RGBl. P. 1431), its successor was the law to combat venereal diseases of July 23, 1953 ( Federal Law Gazette I, p. 700 ).
