Gisalnapf

The Gisalnapf is an airtight vessel made entirely of glass for storing drawing ink . In the past it was often used in traditional cartography to prevent the ink from drying out. Glass also had the advantage over plastic that it was easier to clean and that it was not susceptible to the often used inks that dissolve the film.
