Global Ecolabelling Network
The Global Ecolabelling Network ( GEN ) is an interest group that, following the example of the Blue Angel , awards eco-labels for products with environmentally friendly properties.
The association was founded in 1994 . The goal of the association of currently 26 eco-label organizations worldwide is to coordinate the exchange of information on national eco-label activities and to promote the eco-label programs of the individual countries.
The German member of GEN is the Blue Angel .
