Gopatshah

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Iranian mythology, Gopatshah is the king bull (a bull with the torso of a human being) that lived in the promised land of Eranvez ( Avestan language : Aryana Vedzha) in the Hvaniras area. He serves the gods on the seashore. He is equated with the prehistoric man Gayomarth , with King Gilshah (earth king made of clay) and Garshah (mountain king), with the son Agrerata, the rightful brother of Afrasiaba. The idea of gopatshah reflected the adoration of the Persians towards the bull.
