Gorna Banja

Gorna Banja [ ˌɡɔrnɐ ˈbanjɐ ] ( Bulgarian Горна баня ) is a district of the Bulgarian capital Sofia , it is a bathing and health resort. Gorna Banja is located around 9 km southwest of the center of Sofia on the slopes of Mount Ljulin at an altitude of seven hundred meters and has around 7,000 inhabitants. The climate is temperate continental.

The district is known for its hot and cold mineral springs. Gorna Banja is the source of the mineral water of the same name, which is widely known in Bulgaria.
