The Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group , in German "Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group", is a music price in the period from 1991 to 2011 in the annual Grammy Awards bestowed has been. In 1991 the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance , which has been awarded since 1989 , was divided into the categories of Best Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. According to the category description, performers could receive the award for rap songs that were newly recorded or became known during the award period. The award was given according to the regulations for performances (singles / songs) by music groups and duets in the field of hip-hop music.

As part of a restructuring of the Grammy Awards, the 2012 category was merged again with the award for Best Rap Solo Performance to the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance in order to reduce the number of prizes.

With eight nominations, Dr. Dre the most nominated for the award, followed by Sean Combs, Jay-Z, and Big Boi , with seven nominations each. The rapper Ludacris was nominated four times but never won.
