Greuilh

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Greuilh is a French whey cheese from unpasteurized sheep's milk . It is made in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . The very soft and fresh cheese is sold vacuum-packed in packs of two to three kilograms. This so-called Fermier cheese, which the manufacturer only has to make from the milk of his sheep, is sold by weight in the markets of the region . It is a seasonal cheese that is only available from December to the end of June.

Greuilh is often eaten as a dessert. Because of its sweetish-sour taste, it goes very well with jam and goes particularly well with quinces .
