The Greek Orthodox monastery church of St. Saba ( Greek Ιερός Πατριαρχικός Ναός Οσίου Σάββα του Ηγιασμένου ) in Alexandria was built in the 17th century and is located at Raml Station . A previous building is documented for the year 615, which was built in place of an ancient Apollo temple. The sacred building has a large bronze bell that is a gift from the Russian Church. In the church are the relics of Patriarch Petros VII , who died in 2004 when he crashed in a helicopter over the Aegean Sea on the way to Mount Athos .
