The large window is the name of a bay with a beach on the Havel in Berlin .
location
The large window is located in the bend in the bank in the Große Steinlanke shortly before the island of Schwanenwerder on the southern part of the Havelchaussee . At this point the Havel has the widest extent and at this point a view as far as Berlin-Wilhelmstadt is possible.
nature
The Große Steinlanke is an EU swimming area on the Havel . The bathing area has its own parking lot and its own bus stop (bus 218 - "Large window").
One of the 26 DLRG Berlin water rescue stations is located at the large window . Further south there is the water sports community at the Großer Fenster e. V. Berlin and the Hering sailing school.
