Gruber-Reisen ( proper spelling GRUBER ) was founded in 1968 as a sole proprietorship with a focus on bus company trips. This resulted in the Walter Gruber KG travel agency on April 1, 1984. On March 1st, 1995 the Gruber-Reisen Organizer GmbH was founded, which from then on was responsible for the tour operator activity. On January 1st, 2002, RB Walter Gruber KG was renamed Gruber Touristik GmbH.

Gruber Touristik GmbH is a travel agency and bus company. There are currently around 30 Gruber -reisen travel agency branches in Austria and Slovenia. Gruber Touristik GmbH conducts retailing in all areas with contacts and business relationships with all major tour operators in Austria and Germany. Gruber Touristik GmbH has an IATA license with direct booking of line tickets, hotels and rental cars on 75 Amadeus terminals.
As a bus company, Gruber has six coaches and another 30 buses from the partner company Weiss Autobusunternehmung GmbH.
