Guardian ad litem (England and Wales)

A Guardian ad litem , in England and Wales law, denotes a person who conducts passive litigation on behalf of a minor. She is appointed by the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service for the duration of the process and is mostly a social worker with experience in family law.
