Gwenview is a program for viewing and managing photos and images for the K Desktop Environment . It was developed for KDE 3 and is included for the first time as a KDE application program in KDE SC 4 . It is distributed as free software under the GNU General Public License (GPL). ( gwen comes from Breton , means white and is also a common first name; view is English for to look at or to see .)
It supports a large number of image formats, offers album functions and support for various standards such as Exif . With the help of the KIPI plug-ins , images can be further processed and, among other things, exported. Furthermore, it can work as an image display within the Konqueror , thus providing expanded viewing options.
