Gynomorphs

Gynomorph or Gyne is a morphological name for a female ant with a pronounced gaster and mostly oversized physique. In most species of ants, a mated Gyne is the queen .

Gyne is also found in bees. So is z. B. the family of Halictidae a socially diverse taxon in which Eusocial has evolved several times. Lasioglossum malachurum is considered to be the zenith of state formation in Halictids. Gynen (new queens) mated in midsummer overwinter and establish new colonies in the following spring.
