The DS-3100 ASR from HAL Communications Corp. from Urbana (Illinois) , USA, it is a teletype terminal that works in the RTTY , ASCII and CW modes . This device was sold in 1979 at a new price of US $ 1995, which at that time corresponded to approx. 3500 DM (adjusted for inflation, corresponds to around 4,100 euros today) and was sold in Germany by Ricofunk in Hanover. These were built until around 1981. At that time it was the first automatic electronic terminal for the simultaneous sending and receiving of Baudot , ASCII and Morse codes .

The integrated screen has 24 lines with 72 characters each. The integrated keyboard has an American layout ( QWERTY ).
