HESA Shahed 285 ( Persian شاهد ۲۸۵, dt .: witness) is a light attack or reconnaissance helicopter made in Iran .

The helicopter is an Iranian in-house development, but it is essentially based on the American Bell 206B JetRanger helicopter . The maiden flight took place in 2009 and since then only a small number of this model appears to have been procured by the armed forces.

The single-seat helicopter is only lightly armed and has a maximum total mass of 1.45 t. The Shahed 285 can only carry a small load of weapons outboard. The main armament is a machine gun of the 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm caliber.
