HESH (high-explosive squash head)

As HESH ( high explosive squash head ) is ammunition referred to when it hits the target plastic explosive spread over this (wide squeezed) and then ignite, resulting in a large pressure effect on the target. In the English-speaking world, the term HESH ( H igh E xplosive S quash H ead ) is used for pinch-head projectiles , in the USA HEP ( H igh E xplosive P lastic ). They achieve their effect by the fact that the explosion on the outer wall of the tank breaks out numerous metal fragments on the inside, killing the crew.
