HMS Abdiel
HMS Abdiel , named after Abdiel, a seraph from John Milton's poem Paradise Lost , carry the following ships of the Royal Navy:
- HMS Abdiel (1915) , a Marksman-class destroyer , which was still called HMS Ithuriel before entering service in March 1916 and was scrapped in July 1936.
- HMS Abdiel (M39) , an Abdiel-class mine -layer that entered service in April 1941 and sank through mines off Taranto on September 10, 1943 .
- HMS Abdiel (N21) , a mine-layer that entered service in October 1967 and was scrapped in 1988.
