Hakima El Haité (2016)

Hakima El Haité ( Arabic حكيمة الحيطي, DMG Ḥakīma al-Ḥaiṭī ; *  May 13, 1963 in Fez ) is a Moroccan politician . From 2013 to 2015 she was the Environment Minister of Morocco. Since December 2018 she has been the first non-European chairman of the Liberal International .

El Haité graduated from the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fès in 1986 with a degree in biology and microbiology. After graduating, she completed two Ph.D. at the University of Meknes and “École nationale supérieure des mines de Saint-Étienne” in Saint-Étienne ( France ).
