Hallo Leben is the debut album by the singer Sotiria , which was created in collaboration with the Count of Unheilig . The album was released on October 18, 2018 on the Polydor label .
The album can be categorized as pop music , but influences from rock and pop music can be found in some of the tracks.
background
After the band Eisblume broke up in 2013, Sotiria Schenk completed a degree in business communication . After this was over, she met again at one of the final concerts of Unheilig with the Count, who promised her support with musical projects. After a few conversations, songs were created for the album Hallo Leben . The count wrote all the pieces except Who Are You and Wunderwerk , which were written by Schenk himself or together with other authors.
Furthermore, there were internal discussions about the singer's new project name. Schenk decided on the name Sotiria, which is also her real first name, despite dissenting votes from her management.
Emergence
Sotiria and the Count put some of the singer's personal stories into songs.
This is what Times Change You are about a friend she has grown apart with over the years. A light for you and Who are you are about her family and especially her father, with whom she has a rather difficult relationship. She dedicated a miracle to her cancer-stricken aunt and I Let You Free is about her late grandmother.
The remaining songs were written directly after Unheilig's farewell tour. So is sea of lights from the farewell of his fans and all the lights, which he was allowed to see his concerts. Hello life and Mit dich were also not planned as direct duets with Sotiria. It was only when the Count's demos were superimposed on the recordings of Sotiria that they noticed how well their voices harmonized with one another.

Publications
Singles
Hallo Leben was selected as the first single on the album and was made available for download and live video on May 18, 2018. This was later supplemented by a version with Unheilig, which was also released on September 28, 2018 before the album.
On October 19, 2018, the second single, Ein Licht für dich, followed immediately after the album was released .
The third single followed on January 12, 2019: I would like a fire as an acoustic version.
Limited fan box
In addition to the standard version of Hallo Leben, a limited fan box was also released. This contains a second CD with twelve demos of all the songs written by the Count. There were also postcards and a poster in this box.
