The Hamburger Hof (popularly: Hambi ) in the Meissen district of Cölln is a listed building complex.

history

In 1814 a tavern was built on Dresdner Strasse. From 1844 this restaurant was called the City of Hamburg , which was later replaced by a new building designed by the architect Bruno Seitler, which was opened in 1896 as the Hamburger Hof . Between 1960 and 1980 it was managed by the HO . The building complex has been empty since 1990.

The Hockenheim real estate company REID, which has owned the Hamburger Hof since October 2008, signed the preliminary contracts with an investor in July 2011. The aim is to set up a nursing home in the building by 2013. As a result of a bankruptcy petition, the building was sold for 75,000 euros after a foreclosure auction in 2015, so that the future of the building was open again.
