Hammer head
Hammerkopf is the name of two animal species:
- Scopus umbretta , a species of bird, see hammerhead (bird)
- Hypsignathus monstrosus , a species of flying fox , see hammerhead ( flying fox )
The following is also referred to as a hammer head :
- the felt-covered head of a piano hammer with which the strings of the instrument are struck
- a special, vertical turning maneuver in aerobatics, see turn (aerobatics)
- a component of battle hammers
- a special head shape of winding towers, see hammer head tower
