Hand line

Hand lines

A hand line is a coarser groove of the palm. It is an innate, permanent formation furrow that already arises in the fetal stage and hardly changes in the course of life.

Palm reading

The followers of chirology believe to be able to recognize a person's disposition and fate from the shape of the lines.

Lifeline

The lifeline (number 1 in the picture, also vitalis line ) begins between the thumb and index finger and runs in an arc towards the wrist. Palm readers use it to judge a person's liveliness. Some also claim to be able to read concrete events with it.

Head line

The head line (number 2 in the picture, also cerebralis line) begins between the thumb and forefinger and runs across the hand. It should be responsible for intellectual talents such as the ability to learn, memory and aptitude.

Heart line

The heart line (number 3 in the picture) is located above the head line and runs opposite it. It starts at the edge of the hand and ends below the middle or index finger. It should stand for spiritual thinking and feelings.

Fate line

The line of fate (number 7 in the picture) starts at the wrist and runs vertically up to the middle finger. In some people it is less severe or not at all. It should show how strongly external circumstances influence a person's life.
