Hassan Fakhro

Hassan Abdullah Fakhro is the Acting Minister for Industry and Trade for the Gulf Kingdom of Bahrain .

After completing his school education in Bahrain and then in Beirut , he began to study in England and successively earned his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. He also holds various degrees from business degrees in the United States.

He then worked in the oil industry in Bahrain and in the USA before he was commissioned by the Gulf State government to set up the Bahrain National Oil Company (Banoco). He also installed the Bahrain National Gas Company (BANAGAS) and was its director for several years. He was also involved in founding the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC). He was a member of the supervisory board of Intoil EC, Intoil Inc. and the companies belonging to the Intoil group in the USA, is chairman of the Bahrain Convention & Exhibition Authority (the trade fair authority of Bahrain) and a member of the Bahrain Economic Development Board.
