history

The main post office building was built in 1908 according to the plans of the architect Otto Pein in the neo-renaissance style. The new post office replaced the old and now demolished post office on the corner of today's Dworcowa and Bulwar ulica. The facade consists partly of a red brick facade and has several gables. The facade is adorned with numerous motifs such as human heads, animals, plants and cartouches, on the stairwells there are pictures of historic stagecoaches with horses. There was a German inscription above the entrance, which was knocked out. Inside they have received parts of the original wall paneling.

The main post office was included in the monument register of the Silesian Voivodeship .
