House Rottels

Haus Rottels is a former monastery building in Neuss on Oberstrasse, which was rebuilt around 1820 by the wealthy factory owner and soap maker Franz Rottels and served as a residence for the Rottels family with a soap production facility behind.

Since the summer of 2004, the Rottels house has also housed the Rheinisches Schützenmuseum Neuss with the Joseph Lange Schützenarchiv. A researcher is responsible for both areas, museum and archive . The sponsor is the "Foundation Rheinisches Schützenmuseum Neuss with Joseph-Lange-Schützenarchiv", in which the city of Neuss, the Rhein-Kreis Neuss and the "Neusser Bürger-Schützen-Verein" are involved.
