The classicist house is a remarkable building from the end of the 18th century that characterizes the street scene and is also an attractive, multi-layered architectural ensemble that is particularly valuable for the city's history in its grown structure.
History and function today
Before 1999, the Calvörde welfare station was located in the building . The listed building was renovated in 2000 and now houses eight senior-friendly apartments and a communal area. This community area developed into a meeting point for residents and also a meeting point for residents and associations within the municipality of Calvörde. This is where self-help groups meet and the Calvörde textile circle, among others, also takes place in the premises for blood donations , organized by the Red Cross .
