The budget document for construction (HU-Bau) is the name for a collection of documents with which budget funds for public construction measures had to be requested until 2001 according to federal law .

The budget document for construction was replaced at federal level in 2001 by the draft document for construction (EW-Bau). Many German federal states have taken over the new EW-Bau, but the old HU-Bau is z. B. in the RLBau Rheinland-Pfalz, still used. The budgetary recognition of the HU-Bau, based on a cost calculation, has meanwhile become part of the construction decision document (ES-Bau), based on a cost estimate.
