Heiban (people)

The Heiban (also called Ebang ) live in the Nuba Mountains in Sudan around the village of Heiban and belong to those black African peoples who are summarized under the name " Nuba ". Their population is less than 50,000. Many of the Heiban-Nuba are Christians.

Their language is also called Heiban and belongs to the Heiban subgroup of the Kordofan languages .
