Healing Chamber
A healing chamber is a sacred show place . In this place are relics kept that with one or more saints are directly related. They can, but need not, be physical fragments of the deceased. Since the objects kept are still connected to the veneration of saints , the healing chamber is not a church museum , but is located in a house of God .
Medical chambers are extremely rare in Germany and Austria . There is one
- in Trier Cathedral , where, among other things, the sacred skirt is kept
- in the Augsburg basilica St. Ulrich and Afra , mainly relics of Bishop Ulrich , see Heiltumskammer (Augsburg)
- in Vienna 's St. Stephen's Cathedral , see Heiltumstuhl
- in the Walberberg St. Walburga Church
