Herbert Falk (politician)

Herbert Falk (born November 28, 1929 in Hahnbach ; † December 25, 1994 in Munich ) was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament.

He was born in 1929 as the first son of a Hahnbacher saddler . He grew up in Hahnbach together with his older brother Adolf and his younger brother Rudolf Falk. He survived the Second World War unharmed and started his political career as mayor of Hahnbach. After a few years he became a member of the Bavarian State Parliament in Amberg . Due to several regional political successes, he was re-elected several times until he did not run again in 1992 due to health problems. In 1994, he died at Munich's Klinikum Rechts der Isar of lung cancer . He left behind his wife Rita Falk.

He was made an honorary citizen by the community of Hahnbach for his services, and the street in which Hahnbach's town hall is today bears his name.
