Hermandad de La Paz
The Hermandad de La Paz is one of around 50 penitential brotherhoods ( Hermandades or Cofradías ) that hold processions in Seville during Holy Week ( Semana Santa ) to commemorate the Passion of Jesus Christ .

The procession
Around 1,200 Nazarenos take part in the procession from La Paz . They wear white Túnicas with red ( Paso del Cristo ) or blue ( Paso de la Virgen ) buttons and belts. The procession takes about ten hours to get from her home church through Parque María Luisa to the cathedral and back.
Pasos
La Paz has two pasos :
- Paso del Cristo : Nuestro Padre Jesús de la Victoria , created in 1940 by Antonio Illanes
- Paso de la Virgen : María Santísima de la Paz , created in 1939 by Antonio Illanes
particularities
With the procession of La Paz which is traditionally Semana Santa opened this Hermandad leaves on Palm Sunday as the first their home church. The most popular place to see La Paz is Parque María Luisa , which is not crossed by any other procession.
The Paso del Cristo is accompanied by a mounted chapel , unique in the entire Semana Santa Seville.
