Heterogeneity (information technology)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Computer systems in which several different software systems work together are referred to as heterogeneous in information technology . There are model instances of different physical domains in one model (e.g. ABS for automobiles).

The sub-classes are MEMS ('micro electromechanical systems') and mechatronics (mechanics, electronics, computer science). A special feature of heterogeneous systems are the strong interactions between the system properties in the individual domains, such as B. Influencing the electrical properties of an IC by self-heating.
