Witch tree

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The witch tree is a natural monument in the town of Koszalin ( Köslin ) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland .

The witch tree is a sycamore maple that originally grew out of four individual trees and was conspicuous due to its size. In the 1970s he had lost two of his four tribes. Today (2008/2009) it is arborist, but has lost much of its originally impressive shape.

It is located in the Park Książąt Pomorskich on the Great Wall on the site of the Wall Cemetery, which was laid out in 1810 and closed again in 1818. Before 1945, some tombstones were leaning against the tree.

In any case, before 1945 the tree was legally protected as a natural monument.
