Hišep-Ratep

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hišep-Ratep was the Elamite king and son of Luh-iššan , whom he succeeded to the throne of Anšan . Together with Abalgamasch von Warahši, he revolted against Rimuš when he came to power. After a military defeat against Rimuš, his country was sacked. While this is evident from the inscription on vessels found in Nippur , Hišep-Ratep's fate is unknown.
