Hilton A. Green

Hilton A. Green (born March 3, 1929 in Los Angeles , California - † October 2, 2013 in Pasadena , California) was an American film producer who realized various film and television productions in the 1980s and 1990s, including feature films like Psycho II , that is only allowed as an adult , Stone Age Junior or Zeus & Roxanne - an animal friendship .

life and work

Hilton A. Green, born in Los Angeles, California in 1929, began his film career in 1955 as an assistant director on William Wyler's drama On a Day Like Any Other . Green held this position until 1967. During this time, he oversaw numerous episodes of popular TV series, including department 'M' and Alfred Hitchcock presents . He also assisted director Alfred Hitchcock in his films Psycho 1960 and Marnie 1964 as assistant director .

In his role as a producer, the sequels with actor Anthony Perkins in the role of Norman Bates in Psycho II (1983) and Psycho III (1986) emerged in the 1980s . As an executive producer, Green also took part in the 1990s, among other things, in the productions Psycho IV - The Beginning or the comedies Steinzeit Junior , Son-in-law Junior , Zeus & Roxanne - Eine Tierische Freund and the sequel Again alone at home .

Hilton A. Green was the son of film director Alfred E. Green and actress Vivian Reed . His brothers were the production manager Marshall Green, and the film producer Douglas Green .

On October 2, 2013, Green died in Pasadena at the age of 84.
