Whistleblower system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term whistleblower system denotes a system for obtaining information that investigators in companies and administrations use to open up a confidential communication channel for their employees and also people around them . This can be used by you - this also applies to whistleblowers - to report possible criminal offenses and ethical violations.

Whistleblower systems include telephone hotlines , ombudsmen , web-based systems and combined mechanisms for the secure communication of grievances and irregularities. Differences lie in the temporal and local availability of the communication platform, in the secure preservation of anonymity of the whistleblower and thus in the inhibition threshold, in the concentration on certain offenses, in the avoidance of denouncing and in the possibility of dialogue to clear up a case.

In addition to early detection, the aim of these systems is primarily to prevent internal grievances and risks.
