Hoerikwaggo Trail

The Hoerikwaggo Trail is a hiking trail in South Africa that leads in four to five stages over 73 km from the Cape of Good Hope to the cable car station on Table Mountain near Cape Town .

The hiking trail consists of the following daily sections:

  1. Cape Point - Smitswinkel (15 km)
  2. Red Hill - Slangkop (12 km)
  3. Slangkop - Silvermine (21 km)
  4. Silvermine - Orange Kloof (15.5 km)
  5. Orange Kloof - Tafelberg Road (9.5 km)

Along the route there are hikers' huts for self-catering, either directly by the sea or in the jungle. Currently, the trail is not completely accessible after forest fires.
