Honor moderations

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Honor moderations (also called mods in academic colloquial language ) are the intermediate exams in some courses at Oxford University , particularly the Literae humaniores .

The first five trimesters (terms) of the Literae humaniores serve to prepare for the Honor Moderations (Mods), which consist of ten exams (papers) for Classics I students and seven for Classics II students. Traditionally, the test consists of proof of advanced language skills in Latin and ancient Greek.
