Horand (also Horant ) is in the Nordic saga and in the German hero saga ( Nibelungen saga and Kudrun saga ) a feudal man of King Hetel von Hegelingen. Horand is the master of Denmark, master of singing and hero.

Through his singing, together with his friend Frute and old Wate , disguised as merchants , he wins the heart of the beautiful Hilde of Ireland , the daughter of Hagen of Ireland , for his Mr Hetel .
