Horizont (proper spelling in capital letters) is a specialist magazine for marketing , advertising and media .

The magazine was founded in 1983 by Eduard Grosse and taken over in 1986 by the dfv media group from Frankfurt am Main . The German edition appears every Thursday and had a sold circulation of 9,896 copies in the first quarter of 2020 , a decrease of 33.4 percent since the first quarter of 1998. The Austrian edition has been published since 1991 by Manstein Verlag, a subsidiary of the dfv media group. It appears every Friday and has a circulation of 11,250 copies. From 2001 to 2008 the sports economics magazine Horizont Sportbusiness was published monthly .

The dfv media group founded the Horizont Foundation in 2006, which supports young professionals and research in the fields of marketing and media with grants and funding.
