Horst Beier

Horst Beier (born before 1954) a former German hockey player.

Life

Horst Beier comes from the Ruhr area . He began his career at the hockey and tennis club Uhlenhorst Mülheim , where he soon became a regular on the field hockey team and was German field hockey champion twice in 1954 and 1955.

Winning the German field hockey championship in 1955 was also the third time that HTC Uhlenhorst had won this title. Therefore, Federal President Theodor Heuss awarded the entire field hockey team of the club with Beier on October 23, 1955 with the silver laurel leaf .
