Hpo Win Daung is a collection of caves with Buddhist shrines near Monywa in Myanmar .

About 25 km west of Monywa, across the Chindwin River, in the village of Minzu there are hundreds of caves with thousands of Buddha statues and many well-preserved murals from the 17th and 18th centuries. The name of the caves is derived from the legendary alchemist U Hpo Win, who is said to have prepared his remedies here.
